Instruction-1

John 2:5 “His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do [it].”
The difference between where you are now and where you want to be is an instruction you obeyed or fail to obey. Instruction saves from destruction.
One of my teachers in secondary school told me that in every examination no matter how short the time given is for an exam, the first thing you MUST do is read the instructions. After which you can start answering the questions.
Your ability to obey instructions have some “hidden marks” reserved for it, according to my teacher!
Recently, my son was filling a form and he asked me a “funny” question. Funny because he said, “Daddy, do I underline the answers? Even though the instruction said tick. Underlining will look better for emphasis.”
I laughed and remembered what my teacher once told me, so I sat him down and gave him some lessons on following instructions but  then God began to impress it on my heart that this is how most of us live our lives.
God says tick, you decided to underline. He says answer 3 questions only, you decided to answer 4. God says answer 3 questions but question 1 is compulsory, you decided to ignore question 1 (smart guy). There is a thin line between success and failure and that line is called Instruction.
Friend, instructions can make or mare us. You are not wiser neither are you smarter than the One who gave the instructions. He has the marking scheme remember. When you set your own exams you can determine the instructions and your own marking scheme.
God the creator made us and gave us breath which gave us life. The life is not ours, the One who gave us life gives the instruction on how to live it and pass the exams.
In our focal scripture, obeisance to instruction “forces” Christ to perform a miracle when it was not yet his time! Hear this:
