Strength in quietness-5

Isaiah 30:15 “For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength…”
So how can I separate my self from the noise in order to hear God and renew strength? Is it even possible?
The answer is yes, it is very possible! Remember that during the time of Jesus, there was a day he was travelling with his disciples and a great strom arouse. Everywhere was noisy, chaotic and fear gripped the heart of his disciples but in the midst of it all, the master was sleeping soundly!
Friend, if the master can find a time of solitude in the midst of the storm, you can too.
A pastor made some suggestions that I have found most useful, he said, “A moment at a traffic light, in an elevator, or even on a bus can become a “minute retreat” when you consecrate it as a time of silence and solitude.”
He said we can use such a time in prayer for a spiritual pause. I have found these suggestions very useful and I believe it can help you too. You can pray while driving, you can excuse yourself to the toilet for some minutes at the office. The main thing is for you to create occasional “getaways” from your busy schedule to hear Him.
He can warn you of impending danger via His Spirit and can guide you on how to close that deal or tell you to opt out of it altogether.
The song writer said, “Oh what needles pain we bear…”, We can avoid so many errors, if only we will learn the power of silence.
In Psalms 46:10, God said, “Be still, and know that I [am] God…”. But I love the way the Message translation puts it:
Psalms 46:10 “Step out of the traffic! Take a long, loving look at me, your High God, above politics, above everything.”(MSG)
We must constantly and INTENTIONALLY learn to step out of the traffic, just to be alone with HIM, Selah!
Love you BiG
