Ecclesiastes 8:1 “Who [is] as the wise [man]? and who knoweth the interpretation of a thing? a man’s wisdom maketh his face to shine, and the boldness of his face shall be changed.”
All the money in Egypt and Canaan and by extension the whole world ended up in his pocket! In fact, money failed! Hear this:
Genesis 47:15 “And when money failed in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came unto Joseph, and said, Give us bread: for why should we die in thy presence? for the money faileth.”
Money failed because interpretation came. To the interpreter wealth is just a byproduct but unfortunately most people go after the wealth neglecting interpretation.
Beloved, work on your interpretation skills, train it and allow God bring you interpretation opportunities. Wealth, favour and honour will always follow the usage of your gifts. Work on yourself and watch people troop to you for solutions in droves. Men will always pursue you for the value you give!
Friend, there is a puzzle only you can interpret, stop running away from challenges in your office, lock yourself up, ask God to reveal the secret to you and proffer solution. You can do it!
Going back to our focal scripture:
Ecclesiastes 8:1 “How wonderful to be wise, to analyze and interpret things. Wisdom lights up a person’s face, softening its harshness.”(NLT)
A major key that aids interpretation as mentioned in our text is what the bible calls Wisdom! What is wisdom?
Wisdom is the correct application of knowledge. It is the ability to apply relevant knowledge in an insightful way, especially to different situations. Wisdom helps us to make decisions based on the combination of knowledge, experience, and intuitive understanding.
Theologians say it is the ability to know and apply spiritual truths…To be continued
