Capacity Building-8

Isaiah 54:2 “Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes”
Isaiah 54:3 “For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.”
When you hangout and hang around him, you learn how to cheaply do the impossible.
Friend, you keep company with Christ by keeping company with his Word, that is your Bible. The word of God is all about building your capacity to receive from Him and do the impossible.
The bible says in Romans 10:17 that, “…faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
When you keep company with him, faith wells up in you and your capacity to receive increases. This was the case with Peter, he stayed with Jesus for 3years and his capacity changed.
The sad thing however is that most people want Christ to send them forth to preach, heal the sick and cast out devils without first staying with him. They want the miracle without the miracle worker.
They want the gift without the giver! When you hangout with him,  your net will not break neither will your ship sink. You dwell in the realm of the miraculous with relative ease!
Before you get carried away with the miracle, keep company with the miracle worker, make sure you have the capacity. The reason why it seems certain things are being denied you is simply because you can’t take it. It is only a wicked father that gives his child a gift that will kill him.
As we round up this study on capacity building, let me also warn that there are some capacities you have built over the years that must be checked. If you have built a capacity for sin, stop it!
A friend of mine was complaining that she’s getting too fat and want to slim down yet she eats 6 to 7 slices of bread at a go…To be continued
