Capacity Building-3

Isaiah 54:2 “Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes”
Isaiah 54:3 “For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.”
Like I said yesterday, what stopped the miracle was not the few containers, it was their mindset! The miracle could have continued for as long as they want but their lack of mental capacity truncated it. How do I know? Read this:
2 Kings 4:6 “And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, [There is] not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.”
When the widow asked her son for more vessels, he said no more vessels, physically true but more could have been provided. The Hebrew word “vessel” is translated to mean “something prepared” which means all they needed do was to prepare more!
When the boy told her mum the vessel was finished, the bible made an interesting statement, it says “… And the oil stayed.”
The Hebrew word for “stayed” is the word “Amad” which is interpreted as “to tarry”, “to delay”, “to remain”, “to continue”, “to wait upon”. Some very interesting words there.
This simply mean, the oil was waiting upon her, waiting for her next move, waiting for more containers! The oil remained and was waiting for continuity. The miracle process was waiting, tarrying and delaying expecting her to add more containers but she has not built her mental capacity to decode that!
All she needed do was go out and borrow more containers but guess her next move, she went and told Elisha that the oil had stopped!
Then the man of God made another interesting statement…to be continued
