Philippians 2:4 “Don’t just think about your own affairs, but be interested in others, too, and in what they are doing” (TLB)
We are in a fast changing world and everyone of us seem to be so much in a hurry to achieve their dreams that we don’t care who gets hurt, who become sad or gets injured while we pursue those dreams.
The spirit of me, myself and I seems to be the order of the day. Well, it’s not strange, the bible already said it, 2 Tim. 3:2, “For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud…”
These are the spirits of the end time and unfortunately it’s not just happening outside the church it’s happening within her as well, that’s why the bible warns that, “Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.” 1 Cor. 10:12.
Yes, it’s good to have dreams and aspirations and equally very good to pursue them but the issue is after achieving them, and people start avoiding you like a plaque what will you have achieved?
I noticed something interesting about the wealthiest people on this planet. Most of them have foundations, that takes care of others and donate heavily to charity. They take care of the less privilege, the injured, the hungry etc.
I know they are very busy people but despite that, they “don’t just think about their own affairs, they show interest in others and in what they do”, as stated in our focal scripture.
Friend, one thing that can aid your rise to the top is your ability to show kindness to others. Please, pause from your busy schedule and think of what you can do to assist another. Show genuine interest in others and in what they do. It’s a seed and the harvest is always greatness!
The world teaches us to think about ourselves and nobody else. But, the manual of our Kingdom says otherwise. Pen down the names of people you will show love this coming week and you’ll be suprised how your own interests will be supernaturally handled!
