Bull by the horn-7
Luke 15:17 “And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!”
Luke 15:18 “I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,”
Luke 15:20 “And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.”
…From yesterday…Jesus knew his Father so well. He said everything the Father has are equally his! That is the mentality of a true son! Hear this:
Isaiah 9:6 “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
From the above scripture we understand that a child is born, which is normal for us all, the word born talks about being given birth to but the second part is quite different. It says “a son is given!”. The word “given” is translated to mean “permit”, “designate”, “be bestowed”,”be entrusted with”, “be granted to”.
You don’t designate things to a child, you don’t entrust things to a child! Children are born, sons are given! You don’t put the government upon the shoulder of a child, it will break him but you can easily put it upon the shoulder of a son!
The elder brother of the prodigal son was a “child” but the prodigal son was a “son”! Sons know their rights, children don’t! Mind you, this issue has nothing to do with age but has everything to do with maturity. Make up your mind to mature into sonship this year so that heaven can give you what sons deserve!
In that same text you’ll realise that after putting the government upon the shoulder of the son, he was then permitted to manifest his names! (To be continued)
