Luke 15:12 “The younger said to his father, ‘Father, I want right now what’s coming to me.’ “So the father divided the property between them.”
Luke 15:17 “That brought him to his senses. He said, ‘All those farmhands working for my father sit down to three meals a day, and here I am starving to death.”
Luke 15:18 “I’m going back to my father. I’ll say to him…” (MSG)
One other reason why the boy asked for his share of the Kingdom I want to believe is the fact that he knows his Father too well. He knows Him as one who will not die and cannot be killed! He knows him as the King of kings, the ancient of days, the Alpha and Omega, the One that can not die but exists forever! He knows this truth!
In case you still feel what he did was wrong and still not convinced, you must be living in the past! I want you to know this Father already sent His son to die, so no one need to die again  before we lay hold of our inheritance. When he arose and ascended he gave gifts to us, hear this:
Ephesians 4:8 “Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.”
The boy knows nobody is going to die again, so he simply demanded for the gifts that was assigned to him and you should know this truth as well!
Beloved, leave those mediocre folks behind, quit the company of the “elder brother”, they are satisfied being average working like one of the highered servants. They wont allow you make progress if you stay in their camp. Change camp, be daring, be adventurous, be proactive.
Waiting for life or things to change in your favour is a long process! Don’t get old before you realise time has gone. Get up, take your life by the neck and tell it to change.
This young man, decided his destiny must change. So he hatched a plan, he made a list of the properties he needed and took it to his father…to be continued
