What can you see?-1

Gen.13:14 “After Lot had gone, the Lord said to Abram, “Look as far as you can see in every direction—north and south, east and west.” (NLT)
I want to specially welcome you to this beautiful year, the year 2015. It is a year the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it, in Jesus name. We are seeing 2015, not by our power, skill or expertise, it has been by His mercies and we owe Him praise.
God is Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, that we have seen January 1, 2015 is because He is Alpha, which means we’ll see December 31, 2015 because he is equally Omega! So, let not your heart be troubled, relax and get set for your best year yet!
However, for 2015 to be your best year yet, you need to understand that a lot has to do with you. You’ve got to fasten your seat belt and make up your mind to have a dream and vision for how you want this year to be.
In our text for the day, the bible says, “After Lot had gone, the Lord said to Abram, “Look as far as you can see in every direction”(Gen.13:14). Notice carefully, that God did not tell Abraham to look as far as he can see until Lot had gone! He didn’t receive the next instruction until Lot departed from him.
It will interest you to know that the name Lot in the Hebrew means “covering” or “to prevent from seeing”, very interesting! The gist is this, before your shining can emerge, there are some coverings that you must have to let go.
“Lot” here could mean the year 2014, it was the one covering the brand new year. Now that 2014 has departed, you’ve got to let it go. All your successes and failures of 2014 must become a thing of the past.
Let 2014 go! Don’t start the New Year off with old frustrations. Don’t carry bitterness into the brand new year. Don’t put a question mark where God has placed a full stop. Let go of what didn’t work out in 2014 and get ready for the new season God has for you in 2015! (To be continued)
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
