John 18:37 “…Jesus answered…To this end was I born and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.”
John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
…From yesterday…That is a truth you have come to accept, on this special occasion of his birth, let your spiritual birth also align with his birth by simply accepting him as your Lord and Saviour. I want you to accept his person, he is the only true way back to God.
Don’t miss the opportunity of hosting him in your life forever, like that innkeeper who missed the opportunity of bringing his inn to global recognition by refusing them a room for the birth of the Messiah. If he had made room for him then, I am sure we would all have been trooping to his place today to have a look at the place where the truth was born, but he missed it. When you give him room in your life, he will make room for you in life and you’ll become a star.
Most times as Christians, we blame the innkeeper wondering how on earth he missed that golden opportunity but many are still missing the opportunity these days. We seem so busy with our careers and businesses that we forgot to tell others about the Truth. We resist giving him the importance in our lives that he deserves. We fill up our schedule to the teeth and assume those are the important things in life.
We are even so busy planning for the Christmas celebration that we forgot “Christ the Truth” should be involved. We have reduced Christmas to a holiday where we catch fun and make merry.
Beloved as you celebrate Christmas this year ask yourself this question: How much room did I leave for him in my inn, this past year?
