Ephesians 3:20 “God can do anything, you know–far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.”(MSG)
I have seen several movies where people were asked to make “a wish” and I discover the wishes are usually “outrageous”.They asked for things that always seem impossible and way beyond them, you see somebody born in China wishing to become the Queen of England, you see a 30 year old lady wishing to become 13 years old again etc.
But the interesting thing is that they always got what they wished for, since it’s a movie! I discovered that in real life however, people don’t dare make such wishes, they simply ask for their needs and little desires. What they feel can be done and what they feel is possible within the limits of human reasoning.
The problem however is that as Christians we take the same mentality and attitude to the place of prayer. We have become experts at telling God what He can do and what He cannot! We use our little minds to comprehend and limit the limitless God!
We box God and ask Him for what we think is possible even if not immediately. We don’t want to sound crazy or ridiculous when talking to God. We are always modest. Hmmmm…I’m sure that sounds like you…
As I was meditating on what to “box” for you this Christmas Boxing day, my brother sent me a YouTube video on what an airline company did for their customers and it literally blew me away.
The airline company, always pulls off exceptional holiday stunts on their passengers and this year was no different. Passengers on one of their lucky flights were asked to have a conversation with Santa Claus (Father Christmas) before hopping on their plane to Mount Hope in Ontario, Canada.
It looks like one of those funny stuff…to be continued
