John 18:37 “…Jesus answered…To this end was I born and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.”
John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
Permit me to start with this quotation from Flannery O’Connor, he said “The truth does not change according to our ability to stomach it.”
It is a very hard saying but the truth is that, Truth is truth whether you and I like it or not. Truth is truth our personal opinions does not change and cannot change it.
Since the fall of man in the Garden of Eden, man devised and came up with different “truths”. Man did this in an attempt to get back to God and each new truth based on human wisdom, theories and reasoning seem correct and men were being swindled and led further away from the God they were searching for.
We’ve had a lot of religions and human philosophies since the fall of man and they are still with us even to this day, but friend that they look nice, logical and reasonable does not make them the truth.
There is only one Truth that will save and prevent man from eternal damnation and that truth was born over two thousand years ago in Bethlehem of Judea, he is the only way back to God not one of the ways! As we celebrate Christmas, I want you to consider this singular truth and find your way back to God. You don’t need to feel it, you don’t need to reason it out as a matter of fact you can’t. But, like we establish earlier, “the truth does not change according to our ability to stomach it.”
Come to think of it, you have come to accept as truth the fact that his birth split human history into B.C and A.D, in fact your birthday is dated in relationship to the birthday of Jesus. That is a truth you have come to accept…to be continued
