Ephesians 1:16 “I couldn’t stop thanking God for you–every time I prayed, I’d think of you and give thanks.”(MSG)
Philippians 1:3 “Every time you cross my mind, I break out in exclamations of thanks to God.”
Philippians 1:4 “Each exclamation is a trigger to prayer. I find myself praying for you with a glad heart. We Thank God for You!” (MSG)
Beloved, in the same vein, I think it will be wise for you and I to also imbibe this culture. There are some people that have made your life, work, ministry, efforts and achievements in 2014 look like child’s play. They just seem to be there for you always.  Those people that bring tears of joy to your eyes when you remember them. I’m sure you know them!
All the wonderful people that have added colour to your year. I think like Apostle Paul, this is that time to say a BIG thank you to them. Express your gratitude in person to those gracious friends and colleagues that have gone above and beyond their convenience, to make sure things work out well for you. Those that believed in you against all odds. Meet them and thank them.
Drop a personal note, send a thank you card, buy them lunch, send a gift if possible. Pick up your phone and verbalize your appreciation. I tell you, it will not just make them feel appreciated, loved and honoured, it will equally make you feel great. You’ll love the feeling, trust me.
Don’t just sit back in your house, telling yourself that at least you’ve thanked God because it is God that made it happen after all. Yes, it is God but just like Apostle Paul, he didn’t just thank God for them, he picked up his pen and told them what he told God about them!
Friend, do same. A local proverbs said, the man who thanks the person that did something nice for him yesterday, has put himself in line to receive another favour today! (To be continued)
