Every time you cross my mind…(1)

Ephesians 1:16 “I couldn’t stop thanking God for you–every time I prayed, I’d think of you and give thanks.”(MSG)
Philippians 1:3 “Every time you cross my mind, I break out in exclamations of thanks to God.”
Philippians 1:4 “Each exclamation is a trigger to prayer. I find myself praying for you with a glad heart. We Thank God for You!” (MSG)
We have discussed the concept of Thanksgiving and how thanking God can turn our situation around. We have also talked about thanking God for the successes of 2014 and for bringing us this far. It has been Him all along and we couldn’t have made it this far without his mercies.
As 2014 gradually winds up, I will like to call our attention to one other important object of Thanksgiving. I love Apostle Paul so much, I love his objectivity and the way he pays attention to details. One thing I have come to appreciate about him is the way he writes his letters, practical and down-to-earth. He takes nothing for granted.
He is always full of appreciation to God but also remembers that the dream God gave him will have been stagnant without the gift of men, that God brought his way. As a matter of fact, God arranged men at every juction on his way to help him and expand the vision in his hands beyond his widest imagination.
Paul said, everytime he remembers specifically the contribution of the Ephesians, the Philippians and some others to the success of his ministry, he shouts and thank God for them. He said, “I couldn’t stop thanking God for you, every time I prayed, I’d think of you and give thanks.” (Ephesians 1:16). These guys made his work easy, they learnt under him, gave him gifts and kept the church going and growing in his absence. What a blessing they were to him!
Beloved, in the same vein, I think it will be wise for you and I to also imbibe this culture…to be continued
Love you BiG
