“But I am like a Green Olive Tree in the House of God…”(Psalms 52:8)
Continued from yesterday…Hosea 14:6 says, “…his beauty shall be as the olive tree…”
Psalms 139:14 “…you’re breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration–what a creation!”(MSG)
This is the definition of the original you. Don’t ever let any mortal look down on you and call you sub-standard or ugly. The bible says you’re breathtaking just like the olive Sir/Ma, you’re royalty!
Another interesting thing about the olive tree is its survival instincts and ability to weather difficult situations. The olive tree was first mentioned in Scripture when the dove returned to Noah’s ark carrying an olive branch in its beak.
“And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth [was] an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.” Gen. 8:11
Whatever survived that great flood can survive anything thrown at it! Everything succumbed and perished in the flood but the olive tree. Friend, our case is different, what drowns men cannot drown us, we are survivors. It doesn’t matter what you’re going through right now. You will come out unscathed, in Jesus name.
Not just that, the land of Israel is more of a desert yet the olive tree grows there and is evergreen. You don’t just have the capacity to survive a flood, you also have the capacity to survive drought!
It doesn’t matter what your life looks like now, how broke you are, what is not working, you will come out of it. You will remain unruffled and strong. You have the ability to flourish where others wither. By design you cannot be submerged!
I also want you to know that just as that olive in the mouth of that bird brought good news, you are a symbol of good news. Everywhere you are found, you will bring joy to the place. You’re a carrier of good news not otherwise…(to be continued)
