Habakkuk 3:18 “Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.”
The doors of Jericho gave way when they gave thanks. Beloved, the place of your treasures, the “Jericho” housing your wealth for 2014 can still be opened with the right key. This is not a time to panic or push everything to next year, Give God genuine thanks and I can assure you the barricade will give way! Whatever is locked up against you will open up as you give thanks in Jesus name.
In the midst of civil war of unequaled magnitude and severity, Abraham Lincoln ordered the American people to give thanks and not very long after, the war ended, peace was restored and America has never looked back since!
Beloved, that things have not gone according to plan does not translate into you dropping your head in regret and sobbing. It simply means you’ve got another chance to praise God! Hear this:
Hab. 3:17 “Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:”
Hab. 3:18 “Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.”
Hab. 3:19 “The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.”
Habakkuk maximised this principle. He was in such a difficult war like situation, when everything seems to be going south. All efforts proved abortive, the trees refused to yield fruits, same goes for the field and flock. But, at that time he switched on the Thanksgiving principle and there was a remarkable turn around. Nothing can be locked against this key! God turned the situation around…to be continued
