…From yesterday…The devil got wind of it and knew God was up to something! He was so much interested in what the wise men said because he knows God does not send people on irrelevant missions.
He immediately swung into action, trying to stop God’s plan. But, one thing about the way God handle issues is that He never changes the goal! Yes, plans may change but not the goal. When I travelled with my family and we came across an event that caused a blockage of the main road, we didn’t give up going to our destination we simply looked for an alternate road. God always have a contingency plan called Plan B!
When King Herod, wanted killing baby Jesus, God didn’t fret or panic neither did He change his mind. He didn’t say men should just go to hell since they don’t want the saviour to live.
God did something interesting, He simply switched to Plan B. The goal is that baby Jesus must grow up and deliever the world from sin and hell, the Plan A was for him to grow up in Jerusalem but when the devil struck through Herod, Plan B was automatically activated and he was taken to Egypt.
In fact when he was to be born, the hospitals were filled up, there was no cause for alarm, they simply switched to a manger.  The goal was to give birth to Christ but the plan A of getting it done in the hospital failed, the backup plan was used. Mary gave birth to a bouncing baby boy in a manger, goal achieved on Plan B!
Jochebed, Moses’ mother, was in a similar situation. But she planned for her son’s safety by switching plans and the boy lived! Defying all odds to become the deliverer of Israel from Egypt.
When Moses finally arrived in Egypt to deliver God’s people, the devil through Pharaoh refused on Plan A …to be continued
