Plan B -1
Proverbs 27:12 “A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.” (NLT)
In our recent studies, I made refrence to the story of the wise and foolish virgins:
Matt. 25:1 “God’s kingdom is like ten young virgins who took oil lamps and went out to greet the bridegroom.”
Matt. 25:2 “Five were silly and five were smart.”
Matt. 25:3 “The silly virgins took lamps, but no extra oil”
Matt. 25:4 “The smart virgins took jars of oil to feed their lamps.”(MSG)
I also remember telling you about the journey I made with my family during which we came across an accident that caused a serious delay. We didn’t plan for it but we came across it and had to think fast and take an alternate route. I also told you about the little issue we had with the car and had to wait to fix it, these were not part of the plan.
Now, what has this got to do with you? The gist is this, despite our good plans, sometimes on our journey we encouter delays we never envisage or plan for, a bottle neck that can slow us down. This type of occurrences have forced so many people to abandone their journey, goal or purpose. The inevitable can frustrate and derail if care is not taken. This is the purpose of this piece.
I want to encourage you that no matter what, you can always meander your way through and still arrive at your destination or goal.
The foolish virgins started the journey but had no contingency plan while the wise ones had. The wise virgins foresaw danger and made provisions. The truth is once you’ve decided what you want to achieve and how you are going to go about it, it’s a good idea to watch out for potential events that could help or hinder your progress. “A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions…” Prov. 27:12 (NLT)
Before you start thinking I’m talking unbelief today and asking for the place of faith. Let’s do some analysis…to be continued
