Principles of Planning-8

Luke 14:28 “Is there anyone here who, planning to build a new house, doesn’t first sit down and figure the cost so you’ll know if you can complete it?” (MSG)
Acts 2:23 “God had already planned and decided that Jesus would be handed over to you…” (CEV)
…from yesterday…She gave other members of her household the plan and helped them execute it and they became wealthy too.
We don’t know for sure how she started life, but one thing was certain, she planned her life well and the effect of planning were riches and wealth. She achieved her goals and much more!
Also, never underestimate the power of delegation. This woman made a wonderful plan and involved others. She gave them roles. Highlight the role others will play in your plans and discuss it with them. For instance, I’ve already spoken to my mentor about the help I’ll need from him come 2015 and some of the things I want to learn from him. Same way my team members, the role I want them to play. Mike Murdock said, “One is too small a number to achieve greatness.” Don’t be Mr. Jack of all trade, you won’t last the mile if you want to do all by yourself.
Let your plan be big enough to involve others, except if it’s just a plan that will not make much impact. Never forget the lessons learnt from this wonderful woman, a model homemaker, she gets up early and she assign tasks to her helpers. You cannot assign tasks to people if you have no plan.
I must however warn that planning is hard-mental-work! People fail to plan because of mental laziness! People don’t want to do the hard work of thinking. Create time to think and plan, be mentally alert and ask for God’s guidance.
I love the thrill of seeing my plans workout, it’s like an architect seeing a completed building which he designed or a movie maker at the premiere of a film he directed!
Friend, trust me you’ll love the feeling too!
Love you BiG
