There are things to do in preparation for 2015, prayers, consultations and the resources you need to set aside. This woman
“…rises while it is yet night…” and prepares. Beloved, these are the nights before 2015, start your preparation in earnest!
I love this woman that was graphically described in Proverbs 31. King Solomon said, “She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.” Prov. 31:16.
The word translated “considereth” is the Hebrew word “zamam”, which means plan, devise, purpose or fix thought upon. This woman planned to buy a field. She sat down drew up a plan, how much will this field cost me? How long will it take for me to save money to buy it or better still how do I raise money to buy it? What will I do with it after the purchase? She decided to plant a vineyard on it. She didn’t stop there, she also planned what to do with the proceed from the vineyard.
After planning, she bought the field from the savings she made from her “…knitting and sewing…” business (Prov. 31:13 MSG). She then planted the vineyard, and worked hard at making it a huge success. By Prov. 31:22,23,24 (read the entire chapter), she has become a household name. She owned the biggest and best boutique in her days. Her fame spread far and wide. She didn’t stop there, she empowered her household and made all others around her rich and wealthy too.
Prov. 31:27 says, “She keeps an eye on everyone in her household, and keeps them all busy and productive.” She gave other members of her household the plan…to be continued
