Fueled and aflame-1

Romans 12:11 “Don’t burn out; keep yourselves fueled and aflame. Be alert servants of the Master…”(MSG)
Life is a race and not just any race, it’s a marathon. I have seen people begin well but lost their passion. They seem not to have the will to continue. They started a project and gave up. They started school and dropped out. They started a business and packed up because of little challenges.
Friend, I’m sure you know what I’m talking about. You started 2014 full of energy and passion but you seem to have given up on this great year. You were so sure in January 2014 that this won’t be another ordinary year but you seem to have run out of steam. You’re just waiting for the year to run out. You seem to have added 2014 to one of those ordinary years.

I want you to know you have finally entered the “stadium of 2014” for two more laps that will win you the race. I have come to let you know the stadium is full, everybody is on their feet cheering you on and singing your name to high heavens.
Let me encourage you with this biography: John Stephen Akhwari whom the John Stephen Akhwari Athletic Foundation was named after, (an organization that supports Tanzanian athletes training for the Olympic Games) was awarded a National Hero Medal of Honor in 1983. He was a special guest at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia. He was also in Beijing…(to be continued)
