Honey in the lion-2

Proverbs 26:13 “The slothful man saith, [There is] a lion in the way; a lion is in the streets.”
Proverbs 26:14 “[As] the door turneth upon his hinges, so [doth] the slothful upon his bed.”
It will shock you to know that, the word “Timnah” used for the “place” in the Hebrew means: a portion assigned, prepare, or an officially alloted or constituted place. Does that sound familiar?
We’ve been talking about the principle of place and purpose and this is another classical example. The man Samson, his father and mother came to their designated place. The place to fulfil purpose and come to manifestation but what they met there was a lion roaring at them! Hmmmmm…if Samson had been a slothful or lazy man he would have run home with his parents, conceding his place to the enemy and gone back to bed shivering but Samson knew better! What did he know?
The word roared as used in this passage is not the usual terrifying sound of a lion, the Hebrew word used here is the word “sha’ag” meaning a “cry of distress”, Friend, lions do get scared too, this particular lion was scared when the original owner of the place showed up. Hear this:
1 Peter 5:8 “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour”
The devil is not a roaring lion, he is “as a roaring lion”! While studying Judges 14:5, I was shocked to discover that apart from the roar of that lion being a cry of distress out of fear, the word used for ‘lion’ is an hebrew word meaning “image of a lion”, Waoo! Meaning the lion was “fake” making a distress call. A distress call is made when you sense danger or in discomfort. The lion recognized Samson, but nonetheless tried to scare him.
Friend, all those lions trying to intimidate you, are merely fakes. They can only over power you when you give in to fear, become lazy and rush back to bed… (to be continued)
