Stand your ground-4

Ephesians 4:27 “Neither give place to the devil.”
Another interesting thing from the Naval Seal experience with the shark is that after hitting the shark hard on the snout, it will gently swim away but might return!
Despite the dirty blow Jesus inflicted on the devil three times, he “swarm away gently” but the bible says he did that for just a season, not forever.
Luke 4:13 “And when the devil had ended every [the complete cycle of] temptation, he temporarily left Him [that is, stood off from Him] until another more opportune and favorable time.”(AMP)
The challenges you experience from time to time while fulfilling your purpose are mostly signs that you’re maintaining your position. The enemy checks from time to time if there are vacancies in your place. That’s why you must not let down your guard, you must stay alert. The word of God must be your constant companion.
Friend, there are a lot of sharks in the world! Sharks of discouragement, sickness, hatred, envy, strife, opposition to your dreams and vision, people who want to make your life miserable. The sharks come in different shapes and sizes all out to claim a share of your place or even destroy you, Don’t let them.
When they circle your position, draw out your hammer and sword. Don’t keep quiet. Maintain your position, stand your ground. Hear this:
Hebrews 10:23 “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)”
The word profession here is same word translated confession. We must keep speaking the word, using it skillfully to maintain our positon. Also note that the bible calls it a “profession” meaning it is our primary work not what we do occasionally!
There are a lot of sharks in the world, if you hope to complete the swim, Beloved, you will have to deal with them. Don’t even give them an inch lest they take a mile, Selah!
