Instruction in your place

Psalms 16:6 The lines have fallen to me in pleasant [places;] Yes, I have a good inheritance.
Psalms 16:7 I will bless the LORD who has given me counsel; My heart also instructs me in the night seasons.(NKJV)
When God took Adam to his place in Eden, he told him in Gen. 2:15, to “…dress it and to keep it”, he never kept him in the dark as regards what to do there. He told Peter to cast his net on the right side and fish. Every instruction of God you obey leads to the next instruction and then the next. He will not take you to your place and abandone you.
In our text today, Psalm 16:7, the hebrew word ‘counsel’ used mean to advise, to take advice, to determine, devise, guide and purpose, interesting words there.
God is saying when I take you to your place, I will ‘advise you’ on what to do and you need to ‘take the advice’. Assuming when Christ advised Peter to cast his net on the right-side he decided to cast it on the left? Your guess is as good as mine, he will catch nothing.
Friend, you need to be sure you’re doing the right things in your place. Perhaps things have gone wrong in your life and career because you started out by obeying His instructions but have now started doing it your own way. Hear this (paraphrased):
Galatians 3:1,3 “O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth…Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?”
The Galatians became foolish, why? Simply because they started out in their place by obeying the instructions of God but suddenly they switched over to their senses as a guide thinking they now know how to do it and how to go about it without Him! Don’t become like them, always seek to follow Him daily, he is the best guide.
God didn’t just give us our places, he tells us what to do there and how to do it. What has he been telling you?
Love you BiG
