Proverbs 16:4 “GOD made everything with a place and purpose…”(MSG)
…From yesterday…Jesus made them realise that ‘food’ was waiting for them at the place of their assignment. That was why he said, “Don’t take any money with you, nor a traveler’s bag, nor an extra pair of sandals…”(Luke 10:4). All they will need was already provided for at the “Place”!
I love the way Mike Murdock puts it, he said, “Go to where you’re celebrated not tolerated”. Your potential and gifts are seeds kept on your inside but like you know, every plant cannot grow everywhere! Even weeds! That’s why we have different soil types. Different plants do well on different soils i.e in different places or locations. Friend, same goes for your purpose!
If you’re having issues with the manifestation of your potentials, you might want to reconsider your location. You can’t be wrongly located, working at the wrong job for 40-50hrs a week and wondering why your life has not changed, you need to start asking questions.
So, how do I locate my place? The most trusted way is what I call ‘The voice of God’:
John 21:5 He called out, “Fellows, have you caught any fish?” “No,” they replied.”
John 21:6 “Then he said, “Throw out your net on the right-hand side of the boat, and you’ll get some!” So they did, and they couldn’t haul in the net because there were so many fish in it.” (NLT)
Beloved, there is a ‘Right Place’ to catch ‘fish’. Jesus told Peter where to cast the net, he could have said cast it on the left, center or even at the back but he said on the right. God made you, designed your purpose and also determine where they’re best suited! That’s why he can easily guide you to your place.
If you take a critical look at all the examples we have considered, they were all directed to their places by the ‘manufacturer’. He told Abraham to leave Haran for Canaan, He told Peter to cast the net on the right side.(to be continued)
