Law of Place-2

Proverbs 16:4 “GOD made everything with a place and purpose…”(MSG)
In Genesis 24:1, the bible says, “And Abraham was old, [and] well stricken in age: and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things.”
Infact, not just his blessings, the longevity of his life was also tied to that place! I cannot agree less with Mike Murdock who said, “Your assignment is geographical. The prosperity of your purpose is tied to a place”.
Like we observed earlier, Joseph had some very outstanding dreams and some top-of-the-drawer potentials and gifting for interpreting dreams but they were all frustrated in this same place called Canaan! A place where his great grand father demonstrated his own potentials to the fullest but then, he was struggling in Cannan the way Abraham struggled in Haran and God had to take him to his own place, called “Egypt”! Friend, you do have your own place and you must get there for the full manifestation of your gifts.
Jesus recognised this fact. When he wanted sending out his disciples for ‘industrial attachment’, he made some very outstanding statements to them, he said,
Luke 10:8 “If you enter a town and it welcomes you, eat whatever is set before you.”
Luke 10:9 “Heal the sick, and tell them, ‘The Kingdom of God is near you now.”
Luke 10:10 “But if a town refuses to welcome you, go out into its streets and say,”
Luke 10:11 “We wipe even the dust of your town from our feet to show that we have abandoned you to your fate…” (NLT)
Jesus told his disciples that their gifts and potentials will not be recognised and appreciated in some places. He told them to locate the place of their assignment, use their gifts there to bless those people but anywhere they get to and are rejected they should leave the place in peace. He made them realise that ‘food’ was waiting for them at the place of their assignment.(to be continued)
