…from yesterday…Day of Discovery, not for the beggar but for Peter and John. It was the day they stopped being aware of what they don’t have and became more conscious of what they do have and what it can do!
Friend, until you come to your “Day of Discovery”, your life might have no meaning. You need to come to terms with what you do have and what it can do, much more than your knowledge of what you don’t have and what you can’t do!
Yes you don’t know mathematics but what are you doing with the geography you know? I agree with you that you can’t run but what about those muscles in your arms, can’t you develop them to carry weights? You can’t sing but what about that your wonderful ‘poem writing skills’, they can become lyrics for a song.
Quit flogging yourself over what you don’t have, you do have more than enough to shake the world. Peter and John became so aware of what they do have and the world is yet to recover from their exploits.
I’ve never really been an artist. The little times I attempted drawing because my friends and family can draw, I ended up laughing at my own drawing, not because others made fun of it but because I could see that the man I was attempting to draw looked like an amoeba…lol, shapeless and formless. I tried running sprints in my secondary school days but after coming last on a few occasion, I advised myself that sprinting is not my game. I know you’ve been there and know what I’m talking about.
I however knew that God created you and I and he doesn’t make worthless things. How can He sit down with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, only to come up with a man that have no purpose? (to be continued)
